Description
VISIONS Caregiver Services Program provides services for:
caregivers who are assisting older adults 60 years and over who are blind or visually impaired
grandparents, 55 years and older who are the primary caregivers for a child under the age of 18 where either the grandparent or the child is blind or visually impaired.
Services include information and assistance, supportive counseling, day and overnight respite at Selis Manor and VCB, monthly support groups, training and education, outreach, special activities and limited financial assistance with transportation, personal emergency response systems, durable medical equipment and minor home modifications such as grab bars, prescribed canes, and commodes for the family.

VISIONS Caregiver Program is funded by the NYS Office of the Aging and the U.S. Administration on Aging’s National Family Caregiver Support Program through the NYC Department for the Aging
