A national, federally-funded study of engagement and safety in assisted living. Goals of the study are to understand information families use to choose assisted living, how they and residents participate in care, and their priorities for safety in assisted living.

Purpose: The UNC Engage Study wants to make it easier for residents and families to get involved in their assisted living care, by developing a toolkit to address common concerns and safety issues. The toolkit will be designed for providers and consumers to use; tailored to meet the needs of residents and families in assisted living communities.

Who is Eligible?: Caregivers, family members, guardians of residents in assisted living. Individuals who live in assisted living. Assisted living staff, and other related professions.
